Ethyl paraben CAS:120-47-8 Introduction:
H&Z® Ethyl paraben is white crystalline substance with a slightly bitter taste and burning numbness.As an antibacterial preservative, ethylparaben is widely used in cosmetics, food and pharmaceutical preparations.
It can be used alone or in combination with other parabens or antibacterial agents.It is one of the most frequently used antibacterial preservatives in cosmetics.These parabens can play a role in a wide pH range, and have spectral antibacterial activity, of which the most effective for yeast and mold.Because the solubility of paraben is poor, its salts are often used.

Ethyl paraben CAS:120-47-8 Function:
Ethylparaben/ Ethyl paraben/ Ethyl p-hydroxybenzoate/ Ethyl 4-hydroxybenzoate can used as a preservative, antimicrobial agent, mainly used as antiseptics for foodstuff, medicine and cosmetics, and also can be used in feed as antiseptics
Ethyl paraben CAS:120-47-8 Applications
Parabens are one of the commonly used preservatives. It inhibits the activity of the respiratory enzymes and the enzymes of microbial cells, and destroys the cell membrane mechanism of microorganisms, thereby having a broad antibacterial effect on molds, yeasts and bacteria. Its antibacterial ability is stronger than sorbic acid and benzoic acid, and the antibacterial effect is not affected by pH value, and the effect is good in the range of pH 4-8. China's provisions for pastry filling, the maximum dosage of 0.5g / kg (based on p-hydroxybenzoic acid, the same below); in juice (leaf) type beverages, jam (excluding canned), soy sauce, the maximum amount of 0.25g / kg;
The maximum dosage of carbonated beverage and egg yolk filling is 0.2g/kg; the maximum dosage in vinegar is 0.1g/kg; the maximum dosage in fruit and vegetable preservation is 0.012g/kg. 2. Used as preservatives, bacteriostatic agents, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals. 3. Used as an antioxidant for vegetable oils.
